Welcome to Jewelry By Janet! My name is Janet Bartlett, and I have been

working with fine jewelry for more than thirty years. As an experienced

goldsmith and silversmith, I can help you create the beautiful jewelry design

you envision for yourself, a special friend, or a family member. Once you

approve our design, then I will fabricate it into that special ring, bracelet,

or other jewelry in either gold or silver. With your ideas combined with my

skills, your piece could become an heirloom for generations to come!

   Designing jewelry and being part of the creative process can be a special experience for you. But it is important to understand that whether you choose to collaborate with me on a design or select from one of the many pieces on display at my studio, you are purchasing a quality, handmade gift for yourself or others.

About the artist. . . .

 

   After moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, in 1975, I studied art at Colorado State University. One of the art classes was metalsmithing, and it opened the door for an opportunity to work with a locally renowned jeweler for seven years. Then I spent two years in Ogunquit, Maine, and operated a seasonal store there. But Colorado’s sunny skies beckoned. I returned to Fort Collins to operate a retail store here for five years. For the past thirty years, I have been helping customers with their jewelry needs in my home-based studio.

 

   These experiences and Colorado State University business training emphasized to me how important it is for people to continue to support small businesses such as Jewelry By Janet, and realize again the importance of “Made in the USA.”
